About Lydia

Writer, Wordsmith, pen-pusher

Lydia Holley

LYDIA HOLLEY writes historical fiction because our world has been changed by the actions of people in the past.  Lydia likes to research, write, and garden (she hates housework, prefers not to cook, and procrastinates doing the laundry).  Since 2013, she has written weekly gardening articles published in local newspapers.

Lydia has attended writing conferences, taken classes through Writer’s Digest University, and has held an officer’s position in her local writer’s guild.  She holds a B.A.A.S. from the University of Texas at Tyler.

She lives in Texas on acreage that has been in her family for five generations.  Their stories, a love of learning, and her husband’s obsession for collecting history books inspires her fiction writing.
